Jazz & Rock
Our band Sound & Complete offers its audience an entertaining and intoxicating mixture of jazz and rock. Well-known songs are presented in new arrangements – we are not a cover band! – and original compositions round out the band’s repertoire. The quintet presents jazz classics ranging from George Gershwin to Miles Davis, but we are not afraid of the “jazz police”: In between classic jazz themes, songs by Van Morrison or by The Beatles as well as funky jazz-rock fusion are presented that may even end in beautiful noise that tears the house down …
Guitarist and composer Jan Peleska and keyboardist Kai Thomsen have been playing together for years with drummer Friedemann Bartels – well-known on the Bremen jazz scene. With bassist Volker Tesmer and with outstanding tenor saxophonist Yevgeniy Kuzmov, the band has found its ideal line-up.
